Yoga

Here at St Alban's we have our very own Mr Yogi every Wednesday morning. We start the day at 8am with a staff yoga session, which then leads on to the Year 6 yoga session at 9 followed by a different class each term. 

 

Yoga and mindfulness have been shown to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children. Research has already shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behaviour, and can even reduce anxiety and stress in children
